About

Chefalo Construction is a custom, expert construction company located in the Hudson Valley. We refuse to sell a one-solution-fits-all experience. We apply our expertise, knowledge of market trends, and experience crafting innovative sustainable solutions to each project to fit our client needs.

Founded in 1997, the company’s roots began in the 1970’s with a family operation. Applying that experience, we have grown with the times utilizing traditional and modern techniques.

With a solid record of reliability and achievement that can be independently verified, Chefalo Contracting has exclusively specialized in meeting client needs and desires for over 17 years. Our dedication in this goal can be seen in the work we have done and our clients’ reviews on Angie’s List.

The first call we receive is for the initial consultation to find out what the clients needs are. This first step is possibly the most important as it sets the tone for the entire project as well as any relationship moving forward. Many contractors will ask what you need and want , then somewhere along the way alter the design for many different reasons. We take pride in delivering exactly what you asked for. After all this is your home not ours and it’s what you want , not what we want.

After the initial consultation we will put together an Free Estimate. The estimate will detail the work to be done , the material to be used with a clear price of what the project will cost. When necessary we have Architects /Engineer and Designers that we work with. We are also more than happy to work with your architects and or designer as we have done for many clients. We also stay flexible to our clients time needs. We are willing to start earlier in the morning or late, we are willing to work weekends and even most minor holidays. We do this in order to produce and develop a schedule to get the project done in a timely and convenient manor for our clients.

We are a company that does not sub work out. What this means for our clients is we pull the permits and work closely with towns and their inspectors. Depending on the project there are inspections for the Footing and footing drain, Foundation, Framing, Rough Electrical, Rough Plumbing, insulation, Finish Electrical, Finish Plumbing and Finish inspection.Once the finish inspection is done we receive the Certificate of Occupancy from the town. We are there to meet every inspector along the way to insure that we have done the work properly and that the client has nothing to think or worry about.
